To take offence is the new black.......

Yes, it's true.
The new black is to take offence  - at everything people say. Don't have an opinion - EVER, cos God knows someone will tell you HOW DARE YOU even have an opinion or a thought?

GOD FORBID!!

So now you need to not have an opinion, or just agree with whoever you are with's opinion so as not to offend them, even if what they think offends youth the hilt!!!

This world had gone bloody mad - and I'm bloody sick of it.

I'm sorry, but what I say is true ....

You know what? People hate the truth. They just hate it.

I guess it's cos to hear the truth hurts, especially if you know, deep down inside, that it's right.

But what happens if you see the truth - do you tell them? Do you risk their wrath by telling them what you see and they are too afraid to admit?

I tell the truth - I am a truth teller. People hate it.  I won't o so far as to say the hate me....but they hate hearing the truth from me.  Which makes them not really like me much.

So if you want friends - don't tell the truth. Don't tell them what you see. It's too much for them, and too much for your friendship.

People leave when you never accept help

I'd love to know why people who are offered help so often don't take them?
I offer my help, and the friend says no.
Every.   Single.   Time.

What is that?

It drives me mad.

I can't stand it.

Considering the Camino

Well a friend has been discussing doing the Camino de Santiago.

She wants to walk 10 km a day and I don't think I can do 10km a day.

So I started to exercise every day. I now have a  treadmill.  Am hoping to make sure I can do 10 Km a day.  The whole walk is 1600km. Wow - about 3 months of walking with a backpack.

Thank goodness we are moving...

Cos tomorrow I'll have to see the coach I shouted at last week again - oh, and on Sunday I saw him, but didn't chat to him, I just walked past him as fast as I could.

Oh yes, that's the cricket match that my son scored the ONLY six in the match.... Wey Hey - yo go boy!
They won their match which made them a very happy team. Which means that the pressure is on next weekend, one won and one lost - gotta go out in a winning streak.

Leaving home to go home.....

When I left CT to come back to UK, I had a great thumping party.

All the friends came to say goodbye, and I wrote them a poem which I recited. Most of you know I do this often, so you're used to it .....

Here it is for those of you who recognise it - enjoy!

Goodbye friends ---

Its being a long roads travelled, and we all travelled quite far, with many a chat between the school and the car.
I have made many friends and acquaintances too, but of those that I love there are but a few.

As luck would have it you are all here today, to say cheerio and see us on our way.

With five years behind us, I have not much to say, let's see you guys I do have some homage to pay.

From their Snoekie de Lookie'  to the 'Howzit'  and 'hi' the 'ola' the  'ciao' and the hearty goodbye.
.................
The hugs from Marc, the wine at the Park rugby, ..................Sunday lunches with friends to make me leave grumpy.
fabulous business opportunities and being there for friend through divorce -- I have become a total know it all now, of course!

I wish you all well, lets keep in touch.
Even though I understand you all don't like email that much!

I'll be far away, but you'll be in my heart - if you ever come over and don't call me I'll hunt you down quick - smart!

Thank you for your friendship, and all the great laughs - I hope I find more, in the land of scones and tarts!

Goodbye!

Why do I love thee ? Let me count the ways...

For once, I am not going to bore you all with my love for the Love of My Life.... no, this time it'sdifferent, It's simply the love of being in England!!

yes, it's 'just' that! Why you wonder?
cos today an old lady arrived ath the door ( I was in the bath, had to jump out, get dressed and run downstairs to attend to her) and she gave me an envelope and said "Welcome to the area!"

At my incredulous look, she explained that a group of retired people do this when new people arrive in t he area.

Some days you have to be grateful

Some days you realise you are lucky to have what you have. Today is one of those days
I am glad my boyfriend decided to hold out for this house ( I have mentioned that to him, don't worry), and I am glad I don't have a Corporate life any more.

Ok, that was a little demure. I am AMAZINGLY relieved I don't have corporate issues any more. To tell you the truth, if you asked me if I would go back to Corporate and earn loads, or go to a council house and go on benefits, I'd choose benefits.  When I look back at how I felt every day going to work, I knwo I'll never want to do that again.

I'm glad I have a pigeon pair.

I'm glad I get to travel to different places and learn about new cultures and meet new people.

Wet dogs and rain

That wet dog smell abounds her at the moment due to the rain.
I thought we'd finished with the rain. That we were into summer - but NO ..... It's here and it's pouring.
Unfortunately the eldest child doesn't know how to dry the dogs off properly, so Here I sit with a wet dog!!!
