I recently stumbled on an article about dating when over 40 . It lead me down an interesting path of information in other people's dating habits, and whether multi-dating was ok or not (yes for men, no for women it seems,....) and whether ideas were changing on various fronts.
In my experience, over the last 3 years, the women have various streams of thought, but there are definitly two camps.
One: tell the guy how you feel ( but don't stalk him or chase him relentlessly) and let him decide whether he would like to pursue it further.
- Be prepared for him not to want to pursue it.
- Make sure you want to go further before you tell him you like him!
Two : Don't tell him anything close to feelings or thoughts
- Don't 'scare' him with emotions - Treat him like he's not really worth much - make him chase you - Wait untill he's really 'hooked' untill you allow any emotion to be shown
I can't hold by number Two. It goes against everything I am. I believe in honesty and truth. To tell you the truth, if he can't handle me in my real format, then he hcan't handle me at all. A real man isn't scared by truth or honesty, and he can handle it well, and with aplomb. Well, the one I want to date can!If he can't he'll run away, and never know what he missed! Shame on him, and good for me. Honesty is the best policy I say !!
A one-sided view of life and the things that go on in it, from a career person, family person, sane and mad person, trying to fit it all into one day !

London calling
I am off to London for work. Most people moan about it, but I must admit I like the idea of getting out of the office, seeing other work colleagues, and doing a spot of retail therapy in the good old UK.
What's not to like about seeing old friends and making new ones in London, and having a few days in another country to do it?
Yeeh hah bring it on. I love to travel.

famous people and friends
Well, everyone would like to be famous. Of have their 15 mins of fame ...
So, does it count if you know someone famus or if you've met someone famous ? Would that count as being 'famous' even for a second?
I know this guy.... who knows this guy..... who knows someone famous.
So, I know someone who has basked in the fame of someone else, which almost makes me famous I think!
Yay!
I'm famous!
No, really, I have a person I know who has finally reached fame after quite a few years of trying, and it is quite strage seeing them in every magazine and on TV, and in video clips etc. I find it strange that this person that gave me flowers on my birthday, sang to me in the pub, and walked me to my car on a very dark night in a strange area, is now in the media space!
So, I hope he loves the ride and the fun it allows him, and I hope he keeps his feet on the ground.
At least I know someone famous!

Love is in the air
It's a nice feeling, isn't it, to have that feeling of love all around you (like the song) and then to see your friends in love.
I just wish it would happen to me. For once.
Or maybe it just did & I wasn't noticing.
Actually, I did meet a stunning man, and what I found amazing is how similar we were, and how much we liked the same things.
SO that leads us down the age old question of whether opposites attract, or whether someone much more like you is actually better for you.
I've done the oposites and I think I may well be swayed to the similarities are better cos at least you both like the same thing, and go in the same direction?
I think that has to be easier than a constant battle to find the 'middle ground'.
Anyway, I'll wait to see what the guy that I met does, if he contacts me to see how I am in a one-on-one basis and not just for work, then there'll be some hope.
Otherwise it'll be back to the wasteland again.....
Hope the cactus's are still there to talk to.

Ok, so I was rudely interupted before whilst ranting about book deals. So I'm back to rant. What is it with these deals ? I'm convinced that people don't really like to read as much reality as they have in these blogs. But then I have to disagree with that too ( the schizophrenia helps here) because Reality TV is huge, and people love it - so do I.
Ok, going on that premise it must be brilliant, all this reality stuff in blogs, cos if I like it, and I'm as clever as i think (based on previous post) then all the people reading theblogs & getting the book deals ust be right.
So here's an idea. Give everyone with a blog a book deal - but wait ,..... now that we have blogs, does anyone ever read books any more?????
Oh deah, back to square one.....
Oh deah, back to square one.....
Where's the book deal?
I was convinced it would happen after the last post!! I think I'm the most stimulating person in this hemisphere if not the most in the world! Possibly in the Universe, but seeing as all those aliens out there might have a greater intellect ( not definite though, but I don't want to be immodest), then I must leave some room for them, so I limit it to this area.

Depress this button.....
Me again... depressed this week. I'm depressed that other people writing about absolute rubbish on blogs, basically, just their life like I am, are getting BOOK DEALS!
Can you believe it ? amazing and incredible are two words that hardly describe how amazing it is that people would pay good money to read drivil. Mind you I shouldn't moan, hopefully one day someone will love this drivil, and offer me a book deal!
Come on, I'm waiting!!!!
