A funny thing happened on the way to the office.....

I was on the train, and two men were talking. The one say to the other "I have Tracey going to fetch those pledges from the church today. Not a lot, about £10 a go, but I'm not going anywhere near the church, in case the bloody photographers are here and catch me!"

Now, what do you think he meant?

Upon listening closer, he was definitely talking about church elders, and meetings, and other people to go talk to for money etc, and I didn't recognise him (that doesn't say much, mind you), but it really sounds a bit dodgy doesn't it? Why would he not want to be photographed doing church work??????

Honestly the funny things you hear on the way to work....

Tube strikes in London

Well, for the first time since I've been in London, the tube drivers actually have gone on strike!

It's amazing - some of the tubes are actually working, cos the drivers don't see the point of striking seeing as they have great holidays, and good pay, and good hours...
So why are they moaning?

in fact people are losing jobs all over the place, and the recession is affecting people all over, many of whom will not be paid if they don't go into work today! Honestly, these are people earning minimum wage and just trying to get by! Why should they be held to ransom?

I think it's rude!

Anyway I walked in, and it was a lovely walk actually. Pretty busy, but not too bad, and nice to see London outside again. the new fashions are out and the people are too.
I love London!!

Holiday again ? No way!!

I just realised that I am on holiday again at the end of the month! Cool. That makes this month a really great month!

I've not had a lot of holidays in the last year, it's been busy and what with all the moving etc, there hasn't been a lot of time. Oh except for that camping trip I took the kids on to the Cango Caves just before we left, Ostrich farms etc ....

Camping by the river, braaing every night and watching the kids play with the other kids in the camp area was lovely. Really good to see them play and have a 'youthful' childhood, of forts, and sticks, and rivers etc.

That's what holidays are about. This one will be a bit more 'posh, with hotels and them seeing their Grandfather etc....oh, and EuroDisney! Real schlock stuff.... but it'll be cool!

Can't wait.

Long lustfull weekend.....

Had a fantastic long weekend in Edinburgh, Scotland. With the man of the day, week , and month.

We went off on Wednesday, and back on Sunday which meant two days of traveling and 3 full days in the city / Scotland. It was brilliant.

We did Edinburgh, and drove over the Firth (river) of Forth, to Anstruther (shop there voted the best fish shop in the world) to Crail where we sat in the harbour, chose our own lobsters, they cooked it, and we ate it in the sun by the sea. FANTASTIC.

Then we drove to St Andrews to see the course, and the kite surfers and the biggest beach!!!

We saw a show called Quadrophenics, which was very strange, and loud, but we had a nice walk to the theatre, (my man like to drag me up very steep mounds) and then back to the hotel for a late dinner.

We also did a bit of hiking, and I have some lovely pics.

Will post soon as my world stops spinning....

Soo..... all is well in teh land of cool and happy.
