Why you ask well, I'm stressed as hell, what with changing home, county, and the kids getting stressed about
things are happening soon and are getting more and more nervous, and I have to deal with that. Moving for them means .....No friends, new people in their life, new rules, new house, new school, new environment, new relationships, new fears, new clubs, new routine, it's terrifying for them.
Basically, the only thing that is a constant in their life is me. Bearing in mind they don't actually have another person in this world they can turn to other than me. One parent essentially, and a stressed one at that.
So how does that translate to shouting at the coach ? I watched the last 15 mins of cricket, saw my son being berated a few times, and then the coach tells the kids to tidy up, 70 % leave and the one gets told to help my son, who's the only kid that stayed and did what he was told - and watch him pack and carry all the kit for the coach!!
I asked the coach LOUDLY why all the other kids were allowed to just leave ?? Told him all should help or none should help, and it was unacceptable!! He just looked at me and then ignored me as I stormed off.
I am pissed ff cos Connor is always the kid listening and obeying, and the others just walk away and GET AWAY with it! Bloody hell!
Moral of the story ? Teach your kids to do what the hell they like, and let them get out of everything. Seems that works well in life!!
Bring on the RESCUE REMEDY!!
